Your role:

  • Identify and develop joint innovation capabilities across Philips and VUMC, aimed at accelerating R&D, enabling faster translation from clinical insight to scalable innovation.

  • Serve as Philips’ primary reference for VUMC’s innovation ecosystem, surfacing insights and opportunities that strengthen the partnership.
  • Facilitate alignment across Philips Businesses and Functions to enable successful co-creation and enterprise-wide impact.

  • 7 years of experience in the healthcare industry, ideally in partnership management, research, or innovation. Knowledge of VUMC and/or Philips strongly desired.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to confidently lead meetings with senior and executive stakeholders.
  • Proven experience managing innovation programs within complex, matrixed organizations through influence.

  • Experience working with leading hospitals or academic medical centers is a strong asset.
  • You are able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Office/Remote position.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is an office role.
