Duties you will be responsible for:
Intake & review of departmental mail, email and faxes. Identify documents and requests in order to file and set up tracking as task requires •Assist with intake of new applicant information, including scanning the packet, setting up a new provider file and running basic verifications, including but not limited to: OIG, SAM, NPI, License, Board, DEA, NurSys, Hospital verification sites etc. •Work with Credentialing database to set up tracking for credentialing team, complete data entry, attach files and complete forms and reports •Work with Credentialing folders to name, save and organize all documents. Identify and replace expired documents as needed. •Update expired information on certain websites including but not limited to: CAQH, NPI, Department of Health etc. •Check Credentialing database and/or run reports for expiring documents and follow up with providers and offices for renewed items, including but not limited to: CMEs, Medical Licenses, DEAs, Liability Insurance Documents, ACLS, BLS, PALS, Influenza and PPD reports, approval letters etc. •Support the Credentialing department with projects as the needs arise •Assist with training newly hired staff and provide feedback for current processes •Accomplishes tasks through concern for all areas involved; showing concern for all aspects of the job and all areas involved; accurately checking processes and tasks; maintaining watchfulness over time. •Adjusts language or terminology to the characteristics and needs of the audience. Presents written thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner and uses grammatically correct sentence structure •Takes the initiative to secure relevant information and identifies key issues and relationships from a base of information; relates and compares data from different sources, identifying cause-effect relationships. •Follows up effectively and takes the initiative to seek information or performance solutions without continual support. •Frequently communicates with peers and others to exchange feedback on work issues and solutions. Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
1-2 Years’ experience in Credentialing
Seniority in the department for promotion to Specialist level
•Ability to handle multiple documents pertaining to several providers at once.
Consistently high degree of accuracy
Expresses ideas effectively in individual and group situations.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrate the ability to work independently and prioritize work.
