This is a remote position.



The BillingCenter BA will lead the functional design of insurance billing solutions on Guidewire Cloud. You will bridge the gap between finance operations and technical implementation, ensuring that premium collection, disbursement, and delinquency workflows are optimised for both operational efficiency and a superior digital customer experience via Jutro.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Invoicing & Payment Design: Define complex billing schedules, payment plans (Direct Bill, Agency Bill, List Bill), and automated payment allocation logic.
  • Financial Operations: Elicit requirements for delinquency lifecycles, write-offs, disbursements, and producer commission structures.
  • Cloud Alignment: Use Advanced Product Designer (APD) to model billing attributes and ensure the solution stays as close to Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) as possible to maintain cloud standards.
  • Digital Integration: Map billing data (e.g., "Amount Due," "Payment History") to Jutro Digital front-end components for policyholder self-service portals.
  • Reconciliation & GL: Work with finance stakeholders to define General Ledger (GL) mapping and ensure seamless financial data flow to external accounting systems via Cloud APIs.
  • Agile Leadership: Author high-quality user stories and lead sprint demos to showcase billing functional flows to stakeholders.



Requirements

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Guidewire BillingCenter: Expert functional knowledge of BillingCenter (v10 and Cloud releases).
  • Billing Domain: Mastery of P&C billing concepts: Equity-based billing, account-level vs. policy-level billing, and unearned premium handling.
  • Integration Awareness: Familiarity with how billing data interacts with PolicyCenter (for renewals/cancellations) and external payment gateways (PCI compliance).
  • Tools: Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Guidewire APD.
  • Data Mapping: Ability to define data transformation logic for financial reports and downstream warehouse systems.
