How you’ll make an Impact 

Our Government Contractor (GovCon) Market supports organizations that hold or pursue government contracts or operate in regulated environments. We help clients navigate complex regulatory and technology requirements while driving operational excellence and business growth. As a Senior Account Manager (SAM), you will build trusted partnerships with clients in the GovCon sector, guiding strategic technology and compliance initiatives while driving retention, expansion, and long-term business success. 

 
Location and Work Expectations 

  • This is a hybrid-remote role with approximately 10% on-site traveling to client locations throughout the DMV area or to the McLean, VA HQ office. The specific allocation of remote versus onsite requirements may fluctuate based on business needs. 
  • Must have a valid driver's license and insured vehicle. 

  

What you’ll be doing 

  • Manage up to 25 named accounts, representing $2.5M–$4M in annual recurring revenue (ARR), including individual accounts generating $8K+ in monthly recurring revenue 
  • Work with regulated clients to understand their goals and guide strategic technology and compliance initiatives 
  • Collaborate with Ntiva’s vCISO, compliance, security, and technical teams to ensure client needs are met 
  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual client meetings to discuss strategy, budgets, and technology roadmaps 
  • Identify, pursue, and close expansion opportunities to consistently achieve quarterly sales goals 
  • Communicate new Ntiva products, services, and enhancements to clients 
  • Manage and execute agreement renewals, ensuring the right mix of services and identifying upsell opportunities 
  • Collaborate with business development teams to onboard new clients 
  • Proactively manage at-risk accounts to ensure retention and satisfaction 
  • Partner with solution architects to scope and position client projects effectively 
  • Share client feedback internally to ensure expectations are clearly set and consistently met 
  • Maintain accurate and transparent client billing by reviewing invoices and engaging with clients on past-due balances, coordinating with Finance as needed 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned 

 

You’ll be successful in this role if you have 

  • 5–7 years of client-facing or client services experience, with a background in IT or technology-related services 
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a client-focused mindset 
  • Proven track record of achieving account growth and maintaining client retention 
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, professional correspondence 
  • Ability to collaborate across teams to gather information and drive outcomes 
  • Comfort managing multiple priorities and complex accounts under pressure 
  • Highly organized with excellent time-management skills 
  • Experience supporting regulated clients (e.g., government contractors, healthcare, financial services, or similar environments) 
     

Required language skills  

  • Ability to communicate professionally, in English, both written and orally  
  • Ability to write business correspondence and process procedures  
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public 

 

Bonus points for 

  • Background in MSP or professional services environments 
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Computer Science, IT, or a related field 
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of frameworks such as NIST 800-171, DFARS, and CMMC 
  • Experience with cybersecurity, cloud (GCC / GCC High / Azure), and managed security services 
  • Experience with ConnectWise or similar service management platforms 
  • CMMC Registered Practitioner (RP) certification

The base pay range for this position is expected to be between $90,000 and $115,000 per year, plus an annual on-target bonus if applicable, not all roles are subject to a bonus. The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, and PTO. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. 

FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt

This position requires U.S. citizenship due to federal government contract obligations and access to secured information systems.  

Workspace Requirements and Remote Work Policy 
Team members must establish a dedicated safe workspace that is free from distractions, hazards, and that is secure from unauthorized access. This includes following Ntiva’s IT User and Security Policies that include but are not limited to password-protecting all equipment, keeping confidential and proprietary documents secure, refraining from using public Wi-Fi, having adequate arrangements in place to avoid significant interruptions from caregiving responsibilities during work hours (except in emergency situations with manager approval). Any remote work away from a team member’s normal expected dedicated safe workspace must be requested by team member, is subject to review by management, and must adhere to Ntiva policies and procedures.
