Brown & Brown is seeking an RFP Specialist to join our growing team!
The RFP Specialist leads the end‑to‑end strategy, development, and governance of complex, high‑volume broker and consultant requests for proposals, translating buyer priorities, competitive intelligence, and organizational capabilities into compelling, customer‑focused responses. This role serves as the central coordinator across subject matter specialists, platform success, marketing, legal, risk management, and other key stakeholders to ensure proposals are strategically aligned, compliant, differentiated, and delivered with operational excellence. By managing timelines, synthesizing inputs, and maintaining proposal quality, the RFP Specialist plays a critical role in driving win rates, revenue growth, and consistent client‑focused messaging.
How You Will Contribute:
Proposal Strategy & Leadership
- Lead end-to-end development of complex RFP responses using the Loopio platform.
- Analyze RFP requirements to understand customer needs, evaluation criteria, and win themes.
- Develop and drive a clear win strategy aligned with buyer priorities and competitive positioning.
- Orchestrate requester, PSM, SMS, and specialist contributions to ensure cohesive, differentiated responses.
- Integrate benchmarking, claims, financial, and operational data into compelling proposal narratives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with SMSs and cross-functional teams to gather accurate insights and technical inputs.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing to refine messaging, tone, formatting, and brand consistency.
- Coordinate with Legal and Risk Management to secure required compliance documentation (e.g., certificates of insurance).
- Align internal stakeholders on differentiators, positioning, and customer-centric storytelling.
Content Development & Governance
- Develop, edit, and format proposal content to ensure clarity, compliance, and strategic alignment.
- Map and structure RFPs within Loopio with precision and workflow discipline.
- Manage multiple concurrent RFPs, ensuring on-time submission and quality excellence.
- Integrate stakeholder feedback to strengthen proposal positioning and responsiveness.
- Create and maintain standardized templates, tools, and scalable intake processes.
- Conduct post-submission reviews with the Platform Success Manager to drive continuous improvement in win rates and efficiency.
Content Library & Continuous Improvement
- Expand and refine the proposal content library in collaboration with the Platform Success Manager.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive intelligence, and proposal best practices.
- Identify structural improvements and content enhancements to strengthen future responses.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in RFP management, proposal strategy, or related field
- Advanced ability to structure and map RFPs in Loopio
- Exceptional writing and editing skills for persuasive proposals
- Competence analyzing benchmarking, claims, financial, and operational data
- Skilled facilitator for proposal kickoffs, check-ins, and SMS engagements
- Proficiency with Loopio, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and structured intake tools
- Strong time management and multi-project prioritization skills
- Familiarity with benefits, insurance, HR, or healthcare industry trends (Preferred)
Pay Range
$75,000 - $90,000 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
