This position is contingent upon successful contract award.

  

Serve as a technical lead and security manager for complex information systems. Utilize Privileged Access to engineer and authorize security configurations across the Computing Environment (CE). Responsible for bridging the gap between technical defense and high-level information assurance management, ensuring that the network remains resilient against sophisticated threats while staying fully compliant with federal and DoD mandates.


Job Roles & Responsibilities

  • Security Engineering & Implementation: Implement robust security solutions for mid-to-large scale networks, ensuring IAT Level 2 technical standards are met for all hardware and software.
  • Information Assurance Management: Execute IAM Level 2 functions, including the development and enforcement of security policies, risk assessment, and the authorization of system changes.
  • Advanced Cyber Defense: Lead the identification and mitigation of complex cyber threats. Oversee intrusion detection, forensic analysis, and the execution of incident handling procedures.
  • Privileged System Administration: Perform administrative actions with privileged access on applicable Operating Systems (OS), ensuring that the computing environment is hardened according to Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Strategic Compliance: Evaluate and maintain the organization’s cybersecurity posture, ensuring all systems meet the requirements for Authority to Operate (ATO) and continuous monitoring.
  • Technical Leadership: Mentor junior staff and provide expert-level technical guidance on cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and emerging defense technologies.
  • Travel may be required


Requirements

Experience Requirements:

Required DoDM 8140.03 Qualifications (Must hold at least one per level)

  • IAT Level 2 : GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security.
  • IAM Level 2:  CAP, GSLC, CISM, CASP+ CE, or CISSP (or Associate). 
  • Cyber Defense (CD): CEH, GCIA, CSIH, or GCIH.
  • OS/CE Requirement:  A formal Operating System/Computing Environment certificate of training for systems requiring privileged access. 

Education & Experience Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following foundational criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant technical field.
  • Possession of CNSSI 4012, 4013, 4014, 4015, or 4016 certifications.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited university AND 10 years of direct cybersecurity experience.
  • Minimum Experience Requirement: Regardless of education, candidates must have 5–9 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field, demonstrating a steady progression into senior-level responsibilities.


Clearance Requirements: Possesses and maintain Top Secret Clearance (SCI preferred)
