Job Summary: The Software Engineering Intern is responsible for assisting in the development of backend services using C# and .NET to support pharmacy automation and workflow systems. This individual will work closely with other engineers to build and maintain REST APIs, analyze legacy applications, and contribute to real-world API and database-driven applications. The Intern will be expected to participate in Agile practices, contribute to troubleshooting efforts, and apply best practices in software design and secure coding. This role requires a motivated, detail‑oriented contributor who is eager to grow their skills while supporting real engineering projects.
Reporting Relationship: Director, Application Development
Shift: General business hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm CST. Flexible scheduling may be available based on academic commitments for full time or part time hours. This role is primarily performed remotely, though Kansas City Metro employees may have on-campus requirements according to departmental policy and business need. Generally, all positions may be fully performed on-campus in Mission, KS. Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.

Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation range for this role has been established at $25.00 hourly. The final agreed-upon compensation may be higher or lower and is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, skills, prior work experience, competencies, and geographic work location. The above compensation range represents the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Working Conditions:
Requires routine use of standard equipment and extended computer use. Employee must be able to sit, use hands and fingers, and occasionally lift, squat, stoop, bend, and reach. Problem-solving, practical learning, and instruction interpretation skills are essential.
