Work Mode: Remote - Available to come onsite to Philly 2-4x a year for PI Planning
Duration: 5 Months with potential to extend pending performance, attendance, etc.
Work schedule hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Responsibilities:
Serve as Scrum Master for two cross-functional Agile teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Lead and coach teams through Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Reviews, and Retrospectives, driving focus, flow, and continuous improvement.
Remove impediments and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Reinforce Scrum/SAFe practices, working agreements, and DoR/DoD for quality and predictability.
Track team metrics and use data to improve team performance and delivery predictability.
Own and manage Program Increment (PI) planning for both teams, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and timelines.
Coordinate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technical leads to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
Manage dependencies across teams and external partners, especially around data exchange timelines and compliance requirements.
Lead the team through discovery, design, build, test, readiness, release, and stabilization.
Orchestrate environment creation and readiness: provisioning, configuration, access, certs, connectivity.
Requirements:
4 years of experience as a Scrum Master in a technical environment.
Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, etc.).
Experience working with BI and data wrangling tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and stored procedures for querying and transforming data.
Familiarity with cloud data platforms and tools, particularly AWS Redshift, Tableau, and AWS SageMaker.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and teams simultaneously.
Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
Preferred Skills:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent.
Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
Understanding of data privacy, compliance, and secure transmission protocols.
