We are now looking for a Manager, Technical  Marketing and Customer Service to join our UPM Pulp team. The position will be based in Shanghai or work from home in China.

What you will do

UPM Pulp’s global Technical Marketing and Customer Service Team works closely with pulp customers in hands-on development projects and problem-solving issues. Your main task is to work proactively on technical issues primarily with our current and potential pulp customers and tissue application focus:

• Cooperate with customers in projects for pulp application and furnish optimization
• Provide recommendations, plan and lead mill trials to support customers on maximize pulp properties.
• Support on successful use of UPM Pulp products through technical knowhow from multiple fibres and various end uses (tissue end use focus).
• Cooperate with product managers and global TMS team for product development.
• Monitor tissue technology and quality development, new products development needs.

Who you are

• You have bachelor’s degree, preferably master’s degree in engineering, Paper and Pulp Technology or equivalent
• Above 5 years hands-on paper production, product developments, R&D experience from the tissue, paper machinery, pulp and paper chemical application industry are considered as an advantage
• You have high motivation, excellent team working skills and willingness to take initiative
• You are customer centricity oriented and determined to maintain excellent professional relations with clients based on transparency and trust.
• You have excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbal and in writing)
• You are fluent both in spoken and written Chinese and English.
• You are flexible and ready to travel.
