The Presentation Specialist is a PowerPoint expert responsible for producing high-volume, executive-ready presentations in a fast-paced corporate environment. This role requires exceptional speed, precision, and judgment, with the ability to manage rapid turnarounds, frequent content changes, and last-minute updates—often under tight deadlines. This is not a graphic design role and not a marketing or regulatory design position. The work is heavily focused on Microsoft PowerPoint.

Pay Range

$30.70 - $46.05

Summary:

This role serves as a strategic presentation partner to senior leaders and executives, specializing in the creation, refinement, and execution of high-impact PowerPoint presentations. From Board and executive leadership decks to enterprise-wide communications, this individual translates complex, often evolving content into clear, compelling visual stories—quickly and accurately.

The Senior Presentation Specialist operates in a high-volume, high-change environment, where priorities shift rapidly and presentations may undergo multiple iterations in short timeframes. Success in this role requires deep PowerPoint expertise, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to deliver polished, executive-level work under pressure.

 
Major Responsibilities:
  • Produces and presents creative concepts and designs supporting the People & Culture function within Advocate Health, with a varying audience from the Board to all teammates.
  • Concepts, develops and implements creative solutions for a variety of projects including videos, presentations, internal campaigns, infographics, event concepts and materials, printed brochures, posters, flyers and online tools, while maintaining and ensuring visual design consistency. Translates and adapts work to fit across multiple medias.
  • Incorporates photography and video into design work to create a modern, trend-aware design style with a high-end aesthetic appearance.
  • Works creatively within the brand architecture. Ensures that all designs and presentations are aligned with Advocate Health's visual identity and branding guidelines.
  • Assists management with integrated team projects.
  • Develops user interface features, site animation, and special effects. Creates designs/chooses photos/graphic elements that are creative, fresh and enhance readability. Arranges and produces photo/video shoots as necessary.
  • Produces high volumes of PowerPoint presentations supporting executives, senior leaders, and Board-level audiences, often under compressed timelines.
  • Responds effectively to rapid-turn requests, same-day deliverables, and frequent content changes, including last-minute edits prior to meetings or events.
  • Elevates rough, draft, or content-heavy materials into clear, visually structured, executive-ready presentations with strong narrative flow.
  • Applies expert-level PowerPoint skills, including master slides, layouts, templates, advanced formatting, charts, data visualization, animation, and slide restructuring.
  • Works almost exclusively in Microsoft PowerPoint; this role does not utilize Google Slides or Apple Keynote as primary tools.
  • Maintains consistency with Advocate Health’s brand standards while adapting presentations for different audiences, contexts, and levels of leadership.
  • Partners closely with stakeholders to clarify objectives, prioritize content, and shape presentation structure—often acting as a trusted advisor on executive communication best practices.
  • Manages multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines, maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism.
  • Supports live meetings and in-person events as needed, including on-site presentation updates or changes before or during executive sessions.
  • Collaborates with the broader communications team to ensure alignment across enterprise messaging and visual standards.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
  • None Required.
     

    Education Required:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field.


    Experience Required:

    • Typically requires 5 years of experience in supporting design, visual arts and digital design.

    • 5+ years of experience creating presentations in a corporate, executive, consulting, or enterprise environment.
    • Demonstrated experience supporting C-suite, senior leadership, or Board-level presentations.
    • Proven success working in fast-paced, high-volume environments with quick turnarounds and frequent revisions.
    • Advanced, hands-on experience using Microsoft PowerPoint as the primary presentation tool.


    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

    • Experience in concepting for print, web and broadcast/interactive mediums, creating designs that are visually inviting, functional, dynamic, effective, and capable of maintaining the brand image.

    • Understanding of marketing principals, advertising, PR and design. Expert understanding in print, digital and multimedia production.

    • Ability to work off of a creative brief.

    • Ability to collaborate with others, work independently and stay on top of trends within healthcare and globally.

    • Knowledge and understanding of front end development of websites.

    • Ability to conceive and create experience-oriented design solutions. Understanding of design problems resolution in the context of the brand, use of technology and place in today’s culture and consumer preferences.

    • Strong project management and writing skills with outstanding oral communications skills.

    • Strong computer skills including: Adobe Creative Suite Photoshop, Illustrator, Apple Keynote, PowerPoint, CSS, HTML, JavaScript (intermediate-advanced skill level). Strong knowledge of Flash, After Effects, Video Editing Technologies (Final Cut/Premiere).

    • Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team, concept new ideas, strong on execution, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and to motivate and encourage others.

    • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (required); must be able to work efficiently at scale and under tight deadlines.
    • Strong understanding of executive communication standards, including clarity, hierarchy, tone, and visual emphasis.
    • Ability to process and organize complex or unstructured information into compelling, easy-to-follow presentations.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, even when managing rapid changes.
    • Ability to remain calm, flexible, and solution-oriented in high-pressure situations.
    • Strong collaboration and consulting skills, with the confidence to guide stakeholders toward effective presentation solutions.
    • Experience working with senior leaders who expect speed, polish, and discretion.
    • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus, but PowerPoint expertise is essential and non-negotiable.
    • Experience in healthcare or large, matrixed organizations is preferred.


    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

    • This position requires travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions.

    • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

    • Exposed to a normal office environment.
