Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain internal automation solutions. This role is focused on improving operational efficiency, reducing manual effort, and ensuring reliable movement of data between systems and platforms.
The successful candidate will be deeply skilled in automation engineering, systems integration, data management across platforms, webhooks, JSON, and workflow design. They will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Zapier, Make.com, Rewst, HaloPSA, Xero, and NinjaOne, and will be capable of delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable automation outcomes.
Previous experience working within a Managed Services Provider environment is mandatory. The role requires someone who can work across technical and operational stakeholders, understand business processes quickly, and turn manual tasks into reliable automation solutions.
Requirements
Key ResponsibilitiesAutomation Design & Delivery
- Design, develop, test, and maintain internal automation workflows and system integrations.
- Identify repetitive or manual business processes and convert them into efficient, supportable automation solutions.
- Build automations that improve data flow, task execution, notifications, approvals, and operational reporting.
Systems Integration & Data Management
- Manage and transform data across multiple business platforms, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability.
- Build and maintain integrations using APIs, webhooks, JSON, and low-code or no-code automation platforms.
- Support data synchronisation and process integration across Microsoft platforms and operational tools.
Platform Ownership
- Develop solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse where appropriate.
- Build and maintain workflows across Zapier, Make.com, and Rewst.
- Work confidently with platforms including HaloPSA, Xero, and NinjaOne to support operational process automation.
Monitoring, Support & Improvement
- Monitor automation performance, troubleshoot failures, and continuously improve reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain clear technical documentation for workflows, integrations, dependencies, and support processes.
- Recommend process and platform improvements that create measurable operational benefit.
Mandatory Experience & Background
- Previous experience working for a Managed Services Provider is mandatory.
- Strong experience in automation engineering, workflow development, systems integration, or similar roles.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
- Extensive experience with Zapier, Make.com, and Rewst.
- Strong working knowledge of HaloPSA, Xero, and NinjaOne.
- Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, JSON, and data mapping between systems.
- Experience managing data and process integration across multiple business platforms.

- Familiarity with business process improvement initiatives within an MSP or professional services environment.
