Cyber Hygiene Application Code Scanning Engineer (f/m/x)

Deutsche Bank is seeking a Cyber Hygiene Senior Engineer to join our Information Security team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity practices that ensure the overall integrity and resilience of organization’s infrastructure. Your role will focus on ensuring secure configurations, vulnerability remediation, compliance with internal and regulatory standards and maintaining Deutsche Bank’s high standards for cyber hygiene and application security.

As a Cyber Hygiene Senior Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to engineer software solutions to integrate, enhance and deliver Cyber Security solutions inside Deutsche Bank. This position requires a proactive mindset and deep technical knowledge of cybersecurity best practices to promote a culture of security across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Cyber Hygiene Solution Implementation: Ensure the effective processes for Software Development Life Cycle and adherence to Deutsche Bank processes for software engineering, including security best practices, industry standard and guidelines.
• Secure Code Practices: Ensuring new code written is adhering to vulnerability management and code scanning requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver solutions meeting security posture of Cyber Hygiene, implementing lessons learned and staying up to date with coding best practices.

Skills

• Proven experience (5+ years) in engineering, with a strong focus on cybersecurity, Software Development Life Cycle and Agile best practices.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in one or more object oriented modern programming languages.
• Networking concepts: knowledge on networking concepts with hands-on understanding of proxy and firewall functionality
• Good to have: Experience in Security Vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and Secure Coding Practices within the development lifecycle is beneficial.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and solve issues.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Capability to write clear documentation and good unit tests.
