OVERVIEW:
The Production Team Lead is responsible for ensuring day-to-day operations progress smoothly. They directly supervise and mentor production associates in day-to-day operations and recommend improvements in production methods and procedures. The team lead ensures department compliance with company policies and procedures, and Federal, State, and Local regulations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead team members by providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support, and advice.
- Ensure all proper Safety and production procedures are followed.
- Trouble shoot equipment and provide guidance to meet company standards on quality and performance.
- Encourage and demonstrate dedicated teamwork and supportive attitudes between team members and other departments.
- Ensure standards for the department meet or exceed production goals while maintaining quality standards.
- Find, investigate, and resolve any quality or production issues encountered in the department.
- Ensure production schedule is maintained and communicate with interrelated departments if off-track.
- Help team members by coaching and training them in accordance with company guidelines.
- Help to maintain the organization’s lean and continuous improvement methodology by identifying and removing waste in the process.
- Perform inspections and conduct routine audits of work areas for compliance to safety, sanitation, and quality requirements.
- Any other duties assigned by management.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2-4 years’ experience in manufacturing/production environment required
- Leadership experience preferred
