The Project Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight for a data-driven program supporting federal operations, ensuring successful execution of contract objectives while maintaining high standards for quality, performance, and compliance. This role focuses on guiding overall program direction, aligning resources to meet evolving requirements, and maintaining strong engagement with government stakeholders. Rather than managing day-to-day task execution, the Project Manager operates at a leadership level, providing direction to operational leads, monitoring performance trends, resolving escalated issues, and driving continuous improvement across the program. This position plays a key role in ensuring operational stability, accountability, and long-term success while supporting a collaborative team operating in both remote and on-site environments.

  

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Acts as corporate representative who can make commitments on behalf of the company in all administrative and technical matters related to the performance of tasks.
  • Responsible for the supervision and direction of all contract personnel assigned to the contract
  • Works with the government management to ensure proper execution of the contract to meet their needs and is the primary liaison between the contractor personnel and the government.
  • Discusses technical, financial, and administrative issues with the necessary government personnel, technical leads, and contractor employees on a scheduled basis.
  • Ensures that all security and confidentiality requirements and procedures are met for new hires and in place contract staff.
  • Supervises contract employees in assigned task areas.
  • Responsible for management of any security enforcement, task reporting, and coordination.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five years of experience in the administration and management of large contracts comprised of multiple and concurrent tasks. Management includes the planning, budgeting and staffing for each task.
  • Five years of experience managing contract staff. Management includes recruitment, hiring, development and supervision of all contract employees.
  • Two years’ experience developing performance metrics which provide detailed analyses of staffing, requirements matching, and hiring.

 Work Location:

  • Remote (occasional on-site presence in Chicago, IL may be required based on program needs).
  • Supports operations based in Chicago, IL.
  • Part-time position with an expected level of effort of approximately 50%.
