Senior Principal, Clinical Informatics
Job Summary:
The Clinical Informatics (Senior Principal) owns accountability for one or more workflow-integrated clinical decision support (CDS) solutions across care settings and serves as the clinical informatics authority across the product lifecycle, ensuring solutions are effectively designed, delivered, and adopted within healthcare technology environments.
This role leads workflow design, upgrade advisory, and delivery oversight to ensure CDS solutions are effectively designed, delivered, implemented, and adopted across diverse customer environments. The individual serves as a workflow domain expert across multiple clinical areas and brings deep, experiential knowledge of clinical workflows, system build, and integration.
In addition to customer-facing advisory work, this role is responsible for end-to-end delivery coordination of embedded solutions to vendor partners and customer environments, driving timelines, managing dependencies, resolving blockers, and ensuring high-quality release execution across product, content, and informatics teams.
As a senior-level individual contributor, this role operates with a high degree of autonomy, influences cross-functional and customer decision-making, and serves as a trusted authority in complex workflow and delivery scenarios.
The role represents the clinical informatics domain internally and externally, acting as a central point for customer understanding and workflow expertise. This individual partners closely with product, digital content, sales, customer-facing teams and vendor partners to ensure solutions meet customer needs and are successfully delivered and adopted.
The role primarily focuses on guiding customers through workflow changes and upgrades rather than acting as a primary implementation resource; however, it owns hands-on workflow design and system configuration for select integrated solutions and provides informatics leadership to support implementation efforts as needed.
The Senior Principal also mentors team members, contributes to the development of informatics talent, and helps strengthen clinical informatics capability across the organization.
