As a Principal Strategic Advisor, Enterprise Strategy, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, shaping enterprise priorities and advancing transformational change. In this role, you will navigate ambiguity, synthesize complex inputs, and influence decisions that define the organization’s long‑term direction. You will lead high‑impact, cross‑enterprise initiatives, align diverse stakeholders, and translate insight into action as the organization evolves into a health solutions company. A core expectation of this role is clear and compelling executive communication, including framing complex issues, developing concise narratives, and guiding senior leaders through critical tradeoffs and decisions. Success requires strong executive presence, rigorous problem‑solving, and a focus on measurable impact that drives customer‑centric strategies, innovative partnerships, and durable enterprise outcomes.What You Will Do
Shape Enterprise Strategy: Drive the development of forward-looking strategies that anticipate market trends, regulatory shifts, and evolving customer needs.
Lead Strategic Initiatives: Own high‑priority, cross‑enterprise initiatives end‑to‑end—from problem framing through execution ensuring momentum, accountability, and delivery of outcomes.
Deliver Executive‑Level Insights: Translate complex data, analysis, and market intelligence into clear, compelling narratives and recommendations for senior leadership and the C‑suite.
Prepare Material and Present Regularly to Executives: Lead recurring and ad‑hoc presentations to executives and governance forums, facilitating informed decision‑making, alignment, and resolution of key tradeoffs.
Influence and Align Stakeholders: Build consensus across senior leaders and external partners, ensuring alignment on priorities and execution plans.
Guide Strategic Planning Cycles: Drive annual and multi-year planning processes, driving clarity and accountability across the enterprise.
Ensure Measurable Impact: Define success metrics, track progress, and ensure strategic initiatives translate into tangible, enterprise‑level results.
Mentor and Develop Talent: Provide informal coaching and mentorship to junior team members, supporting skill development in problem‑solving, executive communication, and strategic thinking.
What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
• 8+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in related field.
Salary Range
At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.
