OpenAI’s mission is to build safe artificial general intelligence (AGI) which benefits all of humanity. This long-term undertaking brings the world’s best scientists, engineers, and business professionals together to accomplish this.
In pursuit of this mission, our Go-To-Market (GTM) organization helps customers understand and deploy our highly capable AI products across their businesses. The team includes Sales, Solutions, Support, Marketing, and Partnerships professionals working together to deliver meaningful AI solutions to users around the world.
Within GTM, the Partnerships team builds and manages a strategic global ecosystem of partners designed to accelerate customer success, enable responsible AI adoption, and drive growth. Our partnerships span technology partners, systems integrators, and strategic collaborators who extend the reach and impact of OpenAI’s platform.
We are seeking a Head of Partner Enablement to build and lead the programs that empower our partner ecosystem to successfully deliver value with OpenAI’s technology. This role will sit within the GTM Partnerships Enablement team and will be specifically aligned to OpenAI’s strategic AWS Cloud partnership, serving as the primary enablement lead supporting this critical relationship.
This role will focus on partner enablement strategy, program development, and operational execution to ensure our partners—particularly within the AWS ecosystem—are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to drive adoption and deliver successful implementations. As a people manager, you will lead and grow a team responsible for developing scalable enablement programs that support our rapidly expanding partner ecosystem.
You will collaborate closely with Partnerships leadership, Partner Directors, Partner Technical Success, and cross-functional GTM teams, as well as key stakeholders across AWS, to design and deliver enablement initiatives that improve partner readiness, strengthen field alignment, and accelerate joint customer outcomes.
This role will help define how OpenAI enables partners globally and will play a key role in shaping the systems, processes, and content that power our partner ecosystem, with a particular focus on scaling impact through the AWS Cloud partnership.
This role is based in San Francisco. We offer relocation assistance to new employees.
Build and lead the Partner Enablement function, managing a team focused on scaling OpenAI’s partner ecosystem—especially across the AWS Cloud partnership.
Define and execute enablement strategy to equip partners with the tools, training, and programs needed to deliver OpenAI solutions in cloud-native environments.
Design onboarding and certification programs that accelerate partner ramp, including AWS-aligned delivery and deployment models.
Develop scalable playbooks, training, and content for sales, technical, and delivery teams, with a focus on AWS GTM motions and co-sell.
Partner with Partnerships leadership and AWS stakeholders to align enablement priorities with joint strategic goals.
Collaborate with Partner Directors to drive partner performance, pipeline, and success across AWS-led opportunities.
Work with Partner Technical Success to support delivery and track enablement impact through metrics and dashboards.
Translate product capabilities into partner-ready messaging, training, and collateral aligned to AWS and cloud workflows.
Build and maintain a centralized hub for enablement resources, including AWS-specific materials and integrations.
Capture partner feedback and field insights to continuously improve programs and inform broader GTM strategy.
Have experience building and leading partner enablement and scaled partner programs in a high-growth technology company.
Have managed and developed teams responsible for enablement, partner programs, or GTM strategy.
Bring strong program management and operational leadership skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives across complex organizations.
Have experience working with partner ecosystems such as systems integrators, consulting firms, hyper scalers and/or technology partners.
Are comfortable collaborating across functions including Partnerships, Sales, Product, Marketing, and Technical teams.
Possess excellent communication and executive presence, with experience presenting to internal leadership and external partners.
Have a strong interest in the AI landscape and emerging technologies, and enjoy translating complex technology into actionable programs for partners.
Thrive in fast-paced environments with high ambiguity, where building new systems and programs from the ground up is required.
