About the Position
The Senior BIM Specialist II is TEECOM’s highest level individual contributor in BIM production. You’ll lead complex modeling workflows, drive coordination strategy, and ensure TEECOM’s deliverables are accurate, constructible, and aligned with our standards.
You’ll serve as the senior technical expert for BIM execution—solving complex modeling challenges, planning model structure, maintaining model health, and guiding teams through fast paced coordination cycles. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, Senior BIM Specialists I, Designers, and Production Leads to translate design intent into coordinated models and complete drawing packages.
You’ll strengthen TEECOM’s BIM system by refining standards, improving templates and tools, and partnering with R&D and Discipline Leads on firmwide production advancements. You’ll elevate team capability through advanced modeling guidance, informal coaching, and clear technical direction that strengthens documentation discipline and BIM decision making.

Support site walks, existing conditions verification, or field documentation, capturing findings clearly to strengthen model accuracy and coordination.Contribute to pursuits by advising on BIM workflows, production considerations, and coordination impacts.Refine families, utilities, templates, views, or scripts that improve modeling efficiency, clarity, and production consistency.Collaborate with R&D on BIM standards, template evolution, emerging tools, and workflow improvements.Participate in vendor sessions, user groups, or industry forums to stay current on BIM trends and share insights that strengthen team practices.Provide guidance on complex modeling or coordination challenges that require senior level production judgment.Support other project teams during shifting workload or complex project phases to maintain delivery alignment across the firm.Supervisory / Mentorship / Training ResponsibilitiesSupervisory: No direct reports. While not a formal people manager, you guide BIM execution across assigned projects—reinforcing modeling expectations, influencing production direction, and supporting Senior BIM Specialist I and Designers in delivering coordinated, high-quality outputs.Mentorship: Provide advanced technical guidance to Senior BIM Specialist I and Designers, offering direction on complex modeling decisions, coordination strategy, workflow planning, and problem resolution. You model disciplined execution and elevate team capability through example and coaching.Training: Lead or contribute to firmwide BIM training by facilitating Revit and BIM standards sessions, sharing advanced workflows, and helping evolve TEECOM’s production methodologies. Support onboarding and reinforce disciplined documentation and model management practices across the discipline.Experience and QualificationsEducation: Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent advanced BIM production experience.Experience: 7+ years of AEC industry experience with expert-level proficiency in Revit, BIM workflows, coordinated modeling, and large or complex project delivery.Preferred: Experience leading BIM coordination cycles, developing standards, or supporting technology system layouts (telecom/ICT, audiovisual, security, acoustics, or network) in partnership with engineers and project leads.Demonstrated ability to lead production for multi-discipline projects—managing model setup, structure, health, coordination, and documentation quality for an entire team.Strong organizational and communication skills, including the ability to plan BIM workflows, delegate production tasks, and support team members across concurrent project demands.Deep understanding of cross-discipline coordination, building system interactions, and how modeling decisions impact engineering, construction, and field installation.Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit with strong experience in Navisworks; familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Asana, and GitHub.Experience contributing to BIM standards, templates, libraries, or automation tools; ability to identify workflow improvements and guide implementation.Industry certifications preferred but not required:
