Senior Data Analyst – Analytics & BI (End-to-End Reporting)

We’re looking for a Data Analyst – Analytics & BI who can take full ownership of analytics and reporting end-to-end — from understanding complex data models to translating business questions into SQL and delivering clean, reliable dashboards.

This role is not for analysts who only pull data or create surface-level reports. We’re looking for someone who can deeply understand how data flows across systems, structure it properly, and deliver insights that are trusted by customers, internal teams, and leadership.

You’ll work with a rich operational dataset and a BI tool similar to Looker (Omni), turning complex and sometimes messy requirements into clear, scalable analytical outputs. If you enjoy digging into data, asking the right questions, and building reliable reporting systems, this role is for you.

💼 What You’ll Be Doing

✨ Analytics & Reporting Ownership

• Own reporting requests end-to-end — from clarifying requirements to delivering dashboards and insights.
• Become a subject matter expert (SME) on database structures, tables, and data relationships.
• Work with complex datasets including transactional tables, summaries, and denormalized reporting views.
• Build and maintain dashboards in Omni (Looker-like BI tool), ensuring scalability and usability.
• Translate business questions into structured SQL queries and analytical outputs.

📊 Data Accuracy & Quality

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all dashboards and reports.
• Validate logic, metrics, and calculations before publishing outputs.
• Identify and troubleshoot data inconsistencies, broken queries, or reporting gaps.
• Continuously improve reporting reliability and performance.

🧠 Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with stakeholders across teams to understand data needs and deliver insights.
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support ad-hoc analysis requests and ongoing reporting needs.
• Document processes, dashboards, and SOPs for long-term scalability.

⚙️ Process Improvement & Systems Thinking

• Continuously improve reporting workflows and data models.
• Identify inefficiencies in current reporting systems and propose better solutions.
• Adapt quickly to new tools, datasets, and evolving business requirements.
• Use AI tools to enhance productivity, analysis, and problem-solving.

🎯 You’ll Be Great at This Role If You…

• Have 2–3+ years of experience with BI tools like Looker, Omni, Mode, Metabase, or Sigma.
• Have 2+ years of SQL experience (joins, CTEs, aggregations, window functions).
• Have strong experience building dashboards and data visualizations at scale.
• Are highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
• Are a systems thinker who can quickly understand new tools and data structures.
• Have experience working with large datasets from multiple sources.
• Communicate clearly, especially in client-facing or stakeholder environments.
• Are comfortable working PST hours (9 AM – 5 PM PT).

💡 Bonus Points

• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience troubleshooting table structures and indexing issues
• Familiarity with logistics or construction industry data
• Experience working with semantic-layer BI tools
