Proposal Manager

The Proposal Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end proposal development process for IT projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent project management skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and a proven track record of successfully managing complex proposals. Proficient in MS Office applications, with particular expertise in MS Word and MS Teams, as well as PDF editing tools. Demonstrated ability to utilize AI tools responsibly and in accordance with ethical standards. Demonstrated experience managing public sector bidding processes, with a strong focus on K-12 education and the E-Rate program. Proven ability to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guideline. These technical skills are highly valued and essential for success in this role.

• Lead the proposal development process from initial request to final submission, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with sales, technical, and project management teams to gather necessary information and develop compelling proposals.
• Analyze RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFIs (Request for Information) to understand client requirements and develop tailored responses.
• Create and maintain proposal templates, ensuring consistency and compliance with company standards.
• Develop and manage proposal schedules, coordinating with internal stakeholders to meet deadlines.
• Write, edit, and review proposal content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with client needs.
• Conduct proposal reviews and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to improve proposal quality.
• Maintain a repository of proposal content and best practices for future use.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to enhance proposal strategies.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on proposal development processes and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal management, preferably in the IT industry.
• Strong understanding of IT solutions, services, and industry trends.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification.
• Experience with government and commercial proposals.
• Knowledge of proposal automation tools and D365 CRM Application 
• Software: Kofax PDF.
• Familiarity with IT Managed Services and Cybersecurity.
