Senior Public Health Research Scientist

ICF is seeking a well-organized and detail-oriented candidate with administrative, research, evaluation, or grants management experience to support several federal or state government public health and behavioral health evaluation, data collection, and grants management projects.

Key Responsibilities: 

Perform routine data management tasks (data cleaning, data processing, data merging). Perform data validation and data quality assurance processes. Contribute to the development of reports, manuscripts, briefing materials, etc. Support qualitative data collection and analysis (conduct interviews, assist in coding data).

Contribute to the development of:

• Data management and data analysis plans;

• Procedures for data collection;

• Written or visual reports (dashboards, infographics);

• Proposal or grant submissions, including but not limited to technical writing.

Required Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in public health, public administration, business administration, health policy, data analytics, economics, or related field.

• 3+years of experience in research, program evaluation, data collection, or technical assistance within public-sector, healthcare, or grant-funded environments.

• 1 + year of experience in Microsoft Office 365 and Windows, including experience using Excel.

• 1 + year of experience supporting data collection processes by providing data technical assistance, conducting data collection (surveys or interviews), or cleaning and managing data.

Preferred Experience:

• Professional or educational experience in behavioral health (mental health or substance use treatment or prevention).

• Experience with using a statistical package (e.g., R, Stata, SAS) or qualitative analysis software (e.g., MAXQDA, ATLAS.ti).

• Experience with program evaluation.

• Experience with grant compliance/monitoring.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$74,090.00 - $125,954.00
