Job Purpose:
We are hiring a Senior Social Media Manager to join our team. This role will develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to engage audiences, drive brand awareness, and support our clients' marketing objectives across platforms. This role is responsible for executing content planning and creation, community management, and supporting paid media efforts across key social media networks. It also includes content production planning, event coverage, and influencer and creator management, ensuring alignment between organic and paid initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, trend-savvy professional with strong copywriting skills in Spanish and English, and a deep understanding of both local and global social media trends. This person combines creativity with data-driven thinking to continuously optimize content performance and deliver measurable results.
Job Details:
- Location: 100% Remote (Open to candidates based in Nicaragua)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Languages: Spanish (Advanced), English (B2+ proficiency, both written and spoken)
- Contract Type: Full-time (160 hours/month)
- Reports to: Creative Services Director.
- Availability: Immediate availability preferred
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Content Planning, Creation, and Copywriting: Deliver high-quality, engaging content aligned with brand strategy and audience needs.
- Plan and manage monthly content calendars and campaign or seasonal initiatives aligned with marketing objectives.
- Create and schedule content across formats (posts, carousels, stories, videos, and emerging formats) tailored to each platform.
- Write on-brand copy in Spanish and/or English, ensuring cultural relevance and accuracy.
2. Content Production and Event Coverage: Ensure effective planning and execution of content production and real-time coverage.
- Develop production and coverage books to plan content shoots and event coverage, including video and photography requirements.
- Coordinate with the audiovisual production team to ensure all pre-production and execution requirements are met.
- Execute event coverage and real-time content, ensuring timely delivery of organic and recap materials.
3. Research and Trends Analysis: Keep social media content fresh, relevant, and aligned with current industry trends.
- Conduct ongoing research to stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.
- Identify and analyze global and local trends relevant to clients’ industries, incorporating them into social content strategies.
- Monitor competitor social media activities and analyze content performance to identify opportunities for differentiation.
4. Influencer & Creator Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage influencer and content creator collaborations aligned with brand and campaign objectives.
- Identify and evaluate influencers and content creators through qualitative and quantitative analysis, ensuring brand alignment and strong performance potential.
- Manage outreach and collaboration processes, including contact, rate negotiation, and development of content proposals and timelines.
- Oversee execution and relationships, including briefing, follow-up, and performance tracking to ensure timely delivery and reporting.
5. Community Management: Build and nurture an active, engaged online community for clients’ brands.
- Manage daily interactions across social media channels, responding to comments, messages, and customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Facilitate conversations with followers to maintain positive engagement and foster loyalty.
- Monitor and address any brand-related discussions, questions, or potential issues on social channels.
6. Paid Media Support: Support paid media efforts by ensuring alignment between campaign objectives, content planning, and asset delivery.
- Collaborate with the paid media specialist on monthly and campaign objectives, ensuring content planning supports the defined media strategy.
- Provide all required assets for paid campaigns, including content calendars, copywriting, creative adaptations, and links for promoted content.
- Ensure consistency between organic and paid efforts by aligning messaging, formats, and campaign priorities across all social media initiatives.
7. Social Media Analytics and Reporting: Measure and report on social media performance to guide strategy and demonstrate ROI.
- Use social media analytics tools such as Fanpage Karma, Hootsuite, or Buffer to track KPIs, analyze engagement, and identify content performance trends.
- Generate monthly reports on social media metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve future campaigns.
- Monitor and interpret engagement metrics to refine strategies and improve content relevance.
8. Cross-functional Collaboration and Project Management: Ensure seamless execution and alignment of social media strategies with other departments.
- Collaborate with marketing, creative, and account management teams to align social media activities with broader client goals.
- Use project management tools such as COR, Monday, Asana, or Notion to plan, track, and report on content schedules and campaigns.
- Manage timelines, workflows, and resources for social media campaigns, ensuring timely and effective execution.
Academic Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Equivalent professional experience in social media strategy and digital marketing will be considered.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in social media management, preferably within an agency or multi-account environment.
- Proven experience developing and executing social media strategies across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn).
- A solid understanding of digital marketing strategies (audience segmentation, funnel optimization, and performance metrics).
- Strong expertise in content planning, copywriting, and platform-native content creation.
- Experience collaborating with paid media teams and understanding of campaign alignment (organic + paid).
- Experience managing content calendars, campaigns, and real-time content execution.
- Hands-on experience with social media analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Fanpage Karma, or similar).
- Skilled in structured A/B testing and performance tracking across formats, messaging angles, audiences, and CTAs.
- Familiarity with analytics tools such as Meta Insights, Instagram Analytics, TikTok Analytics, Google Analytics, or UTM tracking tools.
- Experience working with influencers and managing creator campaigns.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Monday, Notion, or similar.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Advanced Spanish and professional English proficiency (B2+ or higher).
Nice to Have:
- Certifications in Social Media Strategy, Digital Marketing, or Content Marketing from platforms such as HubSpot, Meta Blueprint, Hootsuite Academy, or Google Digital Garage.
- Familiarity with performance marketing workflows and collaboration with paid media teams.
- Experience working with regional or global brands.
