Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ten (10) years of experience in financial management, including providing financial management support to government clients (e.g., financial systems architecture, audit readiness, audit remediation, internal controls over financial reporting, and process improvement) in alignment with DoD policies
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD SECRET security clearance (must obtain approved adjudication prior to onboarding; active SECRET or higher clearance preferred)
  • One or more professional certifications strongly preferred (e.g., CPA, CIA, PMP, CGFM, CDFM)

Requirements:

  • Provide financial management support to DoD and government clients, including financial systems architecture, audit readiness, and process improvement
  • Apply knowledge of GAAP, GAGAS, ICOFR, and DoD financial management policies to support financial reporting and internal controls
  • Lead or support financial audit statements and audit readiness activities, and assist with audit remediation
  • Deliver Financial Systems Enterprise Architecture support, including project management for initiatives such as Intergovernmental Transactions (IGT) and Funds Balance with Treasury (FBWT), including Treasury Disbursing Office (TDO) and Non-TDO, and daily cash accountability and traceability

What You Will Do
Guidehouse is currently seeking financial management professionals in support of our Department of Defense client. These teammates will bring a vast range of experiences across financial management, accounting, audit, internal controls, and financial policy.
Our Guidehouse team will provide:

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), DoD financial management policies and procedures and DoD organizational structuresFinancial audit statements and audit readiness services

  • Understanding of current trends in enhancing compliance with accounting and auditing standards within an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP)

  • Understanding of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies and federal financial management systems

  • Financial Systems Enterprise Architecture support including:

  • Project management support for initiatives including Intergovernmental Transactions (IGT) and Funds Balance with Treasury (FBWT) including Treasury Disbursing Office (TDO) and Non-TDO Daily efforts to ensure cash accountability and traceability

  • Business Process Reengineering, Optimization, and Sustainment

  • Strategic planning and communication support

What You Will Need

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • TEN (10) years of experience in financial management, including providing financial management support to government clients such as financial systems architecture, audit/audit readiness, audit remediation, internal controls over financial reporting, and process improvement, in alignment with DoW financial management policies and procedures.

What Would Be Nice To Have

  • Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Business Management/Administration.

  • One or more professional certifications strongly preferred, such as CPA, CIA, PMP, CGFM, and/or CDFM.

The annual salary range for this position is $115,200.00-$172,800.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
