Job Summary
The Senior Revenue Analyst is responsible for analyzing, reporting, and optimizing revenue to support financial objectives. Ensures accurate billing, identifies revenue enhancement opportunities, and collaborates with departments to streamline revenue cycle processes and reduce discrepancies in claims and reimbursements.
Essential Functions:
-Analyzes revenue cycle data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
-Collaborates with billing and claims teams to address revenue discrepancies and optimize billing accuracy.
-Prepares financial reports detailing revenue performance, payer reimbursement rates, and claims processing outcomes.
-Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) for revenue cycle activities and identifies process improvement opportunities.
-Ensures compliance with billing regulations, payer requirements, and reimbursement guidelines.
-Develops and maintains revenue forecasting models to aid in strategic planning.
-Conducts root cause analysis of denied claims and collaborates with departments to implement corrective actions.
-Assists in the development and implementation of revenue policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective practices.
-Liaises with departments to ensure seamless integration of revenue cycle processes with operational practices.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration or related field of study required
Equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
3+ years of experience required in revenue cycle analysis, billing, claims processing, or financial analysis in a healthcare setting
Skills for Success
Proficiency in revenue cycle management and data analysis tools.
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with billing software and revenue management systems.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
Knowledge of billing regulations, reimbursement guidelines, and claims management practices.
