Job Description:
Acquires expert knowledge of the business process flow of each customer’s area through needs gathering, triage, research, and diagnosis. Identifies key measures of the area’s business flow and establishes goals or benchmarks. Performs root cause analyses to explain anything that adversely impacts flow and employs critical thinking and creative problem solving to address barriers. Escalates issues to leadership when appropriate. Participates in planning sessions to understand the organization’s strategic and performance improvement initiatives. Interacts frequently with leadership to facilitate discussions and develop positive customer relationships. Documents work processes and produces training materials to train co-workers and customers. Other duties as assigned. Provides meaningful data-driven insights and improvement recommendations to support business stakeholders in making strategic decisions. Prepares effective presentations and articulately communicates findings and results. Designs, develops, and maintains reports, scorecards, and dashboards that effectively tell the story of the data and highlight anomalies in a manner that customers can easily understand and act upon. Prioritizes analysis work, applies critical thinking, and objectively interprets results. Quantifies financial impacts and applies independent source validation and financial audit procedures to certify the accuracy of the data. Identifies key data necessary for explaining flow, defines data sources, and creates a data plan. Prepares specifications and performs data mining, queries, and extractions (or works with IT) to acquire, aggregate, cleanse, organize, and manage large complex datasets from multiple sources.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Process Analysis: Basic awareness of root cause analysis and problem diagnosis methodologies. [Required]
• Query Tools: Fundamental awareness of data querying techniques (i.e. Structured Query Language, Power Query, Power Pivot). [Required]
• MS Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products Word, Outlook, PowerPoint. [Required]
• Excel: Advanced knowledge of Excel creating spreadsheets using formulas. [Required]
• BI Tools: Basic knowledge of one or more BI Tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, QlikView, Oracle Business Intelligence, HPM, Minitab or similar.). [Required]
• Math/Statistics: Proficiency in performance of basic mathematical and statistical functions [Required]

• Experimental Design and Hypothesis Testing: Comfortable with designing experiments, formulating hypotheses, and carrying out tests to validate or reject these hypotheses. This often involves a deep understanding of statistical significance and confidence intervals. [Required]
• Knows the Business: Has a detailed-oriented focus, understands how the business works, from both an operational and financial perspective in a healthecare setting, and can identify sources of cost and value including physician, clinical, revenue and finance. [Preferred]

• Advanced degree(s) including a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance or related field
Work Experience:• Experience in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting [Preferred]
• Experience in Database Administration, Data Warehousing, Data Science, Big Data, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Information Technology [Preferred]
