We are looking for a Azure Developer to lead and support the migration of an existing web application to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. This role combines hands-on development with cloud architecture, focusing on modernizing legacy systems, improving scalability, and integrating AI-driven capabilities.

This role has a fully remote model associated, and the candidate can be based anywhere in Romania.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of an existing application to Microsoft Azure, including planning, execution, and optimization
• Refactor and modernize backend systems using PHP (Laravel) and scalable cloud-native patterns
• Develop and maintain frontend applications using React.js (and/or Vue.js where applicable)Design and implement cloud architecture on Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, Storage, etc.)
• Integrate AI/LLM services (e.g., Azure OpenAI or similar APIs) into application workflows
• Build and maintain APIs and microservices to support distributed systems
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Ensure performance, security, and reliability of applications in a cloud environment
• Collaborate with DevOps and product teams to ensure smooth migration and rollout

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in full stack development
• Strong expertise in:
  • PHP (Laravel)
  • JavaScript (React.js, Vue.js, Node.js)
  • MySQL or cloud-based database solutions
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including:
  • Azure App Services / Web Apps
  • Azure Functions
  • Azure Storage / Blob Storage
  • Azure SQL or managed databases
• Experience with application migration to cloud environments (lift-and-shift or refactoring)
• Experience integrating AI/LLM solutions into production systems
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices
