Job description

Product Specialist

Pleasant Holidays, one of the largest travel wholesalers in the United States specializing in vacation travel to the Hawaiian Islands, Caribbean, Central & South America, Europe, Mexico, Middle East, South Pacific (Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, New Caledonia, New Zealand & Tahiti), Japan & Asia, the United States & Canada, and cruise vacations worldwide, is seeking a Product Development Specialist.

Pleasant Holidays is a subsidiary of the Automobile Club of Southern California, a diversified insurance, roadside assistance, financial services and travel organization serving AAA Members for more than 100 years.

Primary Duties:

Data input for product specific tracking of contracts, rates and promotions to expedite for implementation
Research hotel price matching and coordinate efforts with other departments and partners
Support and assist all departments with product related questions and concerns.
Develop and maintain business relations with partners, while acting as primary contact when Product Director is not available.
Ensure that partner rates, inventory, promos, and information are loaded correctly.
As requested, assist Product Directors with any additional duties or special projects that may arise.
Review pricing reports to ensure hotel rates are competitive and report any missing promotion and frequent rate discrepancies (hotel and chain level)
Keep internal shared documents updated

Prerequisites:

1 to 3 years related experience
Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
Advanced Atlas knowledge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle last minute changes and issue support

The starting pay rate for this position is $20.00 an hour.
