Account Manager (Full-time)

Kata.ai is an Indonesian Conversational Artificial Intelligence company with a focus on creating technology to enhance the understanding of human conversations, improving the way humans collaborate with machines. The company’s proprietary Kata Bot Platform can be leveraged to create feature-rich chatbots on top of Kata.ai’s robust and scalable AI technology platform, ensuring company of any size can easily build their own chatbot on any messaging platform. With this platform, it is now possible for the business to focus on designing engaging interaction for their customers, while Kata.ai handles all the technology aspects of the chatbots.

Established in 2015, the company has become a trusted partner for major corporations such as Microsoft, Accenture, and Line. In 2020, the company received Series-B funding from TransPacific Technology Fund and MDI Venture.

We're looking for a driven Account Manager to own and grow a portfolio of key enterprise clients. You'll be at the forefront of our commercial growth — building long-term partnerships, navigating complex sales cycles, and delivering real business impact across industries including FMCG, Banking & Financial Services, Healthcare, and Pharmaceuticals.

This isn't a transactional sales role. You'll work consultatively with VP and C-suite stakeholders, translate our AI-powered solutions into measurable business value, and become a trusted strategic partner to clients who rely on us to help them grow.

Experience

• Minimum 7–10 years of proven experience in Account Management, Sales Executive, or a client-facing commercial role
• Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding individual revenue targets
• Direct industry experience in one or more of the following is strongly preferred: Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Banking & Financial Services, Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Solutions
• Proven track record of managing relationships at VP+ level in enterprise or mid-market B2B settings
• Experience navigating long sales cycles (6–18 months) with multiple senior stakeholders across complex organizations
• Demonstrated experience running Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) or Executive Business Reviews (EBR) with key accounts
• Background in consultative or solution selling environments is a plus

Qualifications & Education : 

• Bachelor's degree (BSc/BA) in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline (required)
• Master's degree or postgraduate qualification is an advantage
• Professional certifications in Sales, CRM, or Account Management are a plus (e.g., Salesforce Certified, HubSpot Sales, Strategic Account Management – SAMA)

Technical Skills :

• AI Productivity Tools (ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI assistants)
• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• CRM Software (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent)
• Sales pipeline management & revenue forecasting
• Data analysis & commercial reporting
• Market research & competitive landscape analysis

• Executive Communication : Comfortable presenting business cases, ROI frameworks, and strategic reviews to executive audiences; able to translate technical solutions into business value language that resonates with non-technical decision-makers
• Communication & Presentation : Able to craft and deliver compelling, tailored narratives to diverse audiences including C-suite and technical stakeholders
• Relationship Management : Builds and sustains trust-based, long-term partnerships with clients at all levels
• Negotiation : Skilled in structuring and closing commercial agreements that create mutual value while protecting company margin
• Business Acumen : Understands market dynamics, client business models, industry trends, and revenue drivers
• Problem Solving : Proactively identifies client issues and proposes practical, client-centered solutions with a sense of urgency
• Organizational Skills : Manages multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously with high attention to detail
• Resilience & Drive : Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to sustain high performance under commercial pressure
• Stakeholder Management : Adept at managing expectations and navigating complex organizational structures both internally and externally
