Scope of the role:
This role sits at the intersection of front-end excellence and solid back-end understanding. You will own the development of high-quality user interfaces while contributing to back-end logic, integrations, and performance optimisation. You’ll work closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver reliable, scalable features end to end.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain responsive, high-performance front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks
- Translate UI/UX designs into clean, reusable, and accessible code
- Collaborate with back-end engineers (and contribute directly when needed) on APIs, data models, and integrations
- Integrate front-end components with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimise applications for speed and scalability
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decisions
- Write maintainable code with appropriate testing and documentation
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve front-end and full-stack issues
- Work closely with product and design teams to iterate quickly and improve user experience
Qualifications:
- Strong experience as a Front-End Engineer (React, Vue, or similar frameworks)
- Solid understanding of back-end development (Node.js, Python, Ruby, or similar)
- Experience working with APIs, databases, and authentication flows
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end tooling
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows
- Understanding of performance optimisation, accessibility, and best practices
- Comfortable working in a fully remote, asynchronous environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
