Requirements:

  • Maintain general ledger integrity and perform timely reconciliations (bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts) and lead month-end close processes
  • Build and maintain advanced Excel models for reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis; support budgeting, cash flow, and financial planning
  • Partner with external CPAs for tax preparation, audits, and statutory reporting; identify inefficiencies and proactively improve accounting processes and controls

Work Hours: 9 AM - 5 PM PST

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to own core accounting operations with a strong emphasis on accuracy, financial reporting, and process optimization. This is a high-impact, hands-on role suited for a self-starter who thrives in an autonomous environment, can manage multiple priorities, and supports U.S.-based operations. The ideal candidate brings advanced Excel capabilities, deep expertise in QuickBooks Online, and a solid understanding of U.S. accounting standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage full-cycle accounting operations using QuickBooks Online
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and perform timely reconciliations (bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts)
  • Build and maintain advanced Excel models for reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes with minimal supervision
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, accounting standards, and internal controls
  • Support budgeting, cash flow analysis, and financial planning activities
  • Partner with external CPAs and support tax preparation, audits, and statutory reporting
  • Identify inefficiencies and proactively improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to leadership as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Senior Accountant role supporting U.S.-based companies
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling)
  • Strong, hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
  • Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and U.S. accounting practices
  • Experience working remotely with the ability to manage responsibilities independently
  • Self-starter with a high sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills in an asynchronous, distributed work environment
