About the Role

Our client, a global leader in innovative kitchenware and cookware solutions, is seeking an experienced New Product Development (NPD) Specialist to join their international innovation team.

In this role, you will manage the end-to-end development of new cookware and kitchenware products — from concept through commercialization — ensuring alignment with market needs, manufacturing capabilities, and brand standards. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners across China and Latin America to bring high-quality, market-ready products to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of new product development (NPD) projects within the cookware and kitchenware categories.
  • Collaborate with design, sourcing, and marketing teams to define product specifications, materials, and production methods.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify innovation opportunities and product gaps.
  • Partner with suppliers and factories to ensure quality, cost, and delivery timelines are met.
  • Oversee prototype creation, testing, and product validation.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and documentation across all NPD stages.
  • Ensure compliance with international quality and safety standards (FDA, LFGB, etc.).
  • Provide technical guidance on materials, coatings, and production technologies relevant to cookware.
  • Contribute to the client’s long-term innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, preferably in cookware, kitchenware, or small domestic appliances.
  • Proven success managing NPD projects from concept to launch.
  • Strong knowledge of cookware materials and manufacturing processes (stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, non-stick coatings, etc.).
  • Experience in OEM/ODM environments or working with international brands.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Spanish/Portuguese is highly desirable.
  • Based in China or Latin America, with flexibility for regional and international travel.
