  • Apply knowledge of SATCOM and its integration with broader telecommunications networks.
  • Support system, software, logistics, and fielding teams with hardware and system-level expertise.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential implementation and participate in technical meetings, briefings, and stakeholder engagements; contribute to future system concepts and enhancements.

System Engineer

Salary range determined by level; intermediate, journeyman and senior. Levels determined by direct related experience and education.

Overview

Tech(x) is a dynamic, solutions-driven organization comprised of experienced professionals and forward-thinking leaders specializing in technology, cybersecurity, logistics, project management, talent management, and procurement. We are actively expanding our Department of War (DoW) and technology footprint.


We are currently seeking Systems Engineers to support our Cybertron contract, delivering advanced engineering solutions in support of mission-critical defense systems.


The Systems Engineer will provide engineering expertise to support the design, integration, and optimization of complex systems. This role requires a strong understanding of systems architecture, communications infrastructure, and emerging technologies to ensure operational effectiveness and future scalability.


 


Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level systems engineering support across multiple technical domains.
  • Develop comprehensive technical solutions considering:
    • Systems architecture
    • Interoperability and interfaces
    • Networking protocols
    • Scalability and expansion capabilities
    • End-to-end system compatibility
  • Analyze and recommend solutions to evolving communications and automation challenges.
  • Apply knowledge of satellite communications (SATCOM) and its integration with broader telecommunications networks.
  • Support system, software, logistics, and fielding teams with hardware and system-level expertise.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential implementation.
  • Participate in technical meetings, briefings, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Contribute to the development of future system concepts and enhancements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proven experience in systems engineering
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience applying engineering principles to analyze, design, test, and evaluate systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Technical Lab environment.
  • Direct experience with working in a CryptoMod Lab environment. 
  • Top Secret Clearance. 
  • Military trained in COMSEC. 

 

 

Clearance:

 

  • Active DoD Secret clearance. 


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM program or IT. 4 years of direct relatable experience can substitute for a degree. 


Location:

 

  • Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. 
  • This is a hybrid remote position based on the government customer’s approval. 
  • Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Schedule flexing is available with the PM’s approval. 

 


Travel:

 

  • Travel requirements will fluctuate but are not expected to be over 15%
