Job Title: Process Improvement & Program Management Intern

Job Overview: Ciena Corporation is seeking a motivated, organized, & dynamic intern to assist with process improvement and program management initiatives. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in optimizing workflows, coordinating projects, and collaborating with various teams. You will have the chance to develop foundational skills in these areas, while learning how to drive efficiency and manage cross-functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the documentation and analysis of business processes to identify opportunities for improvement in areas such as order management, business intelligence, and logistics.
  • Contribute to the execution of process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to track and manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and support the creation of detailed project plans.
  • Assist in the coordination and communication of project progress across teams.
  • Learn new project management tools and techniques to support team initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in process improvement and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excitement to learn and apply new project management tools and methods.

Pay Range: The hourly pay range for this position is $21.50 - $29.00

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
