Roles & Responsibilities

Job description

Overview:

FWI is building a team to provide administrative, technical, and management support services to the U.S. Coast Guard's Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Project Residence Office in Mobile, AL. As a Project Manager, you will serve as the contractor's key personnel and single point of contact with the Coast Guard, overseeing all team operations and ensuring successful delivery across the program.

Work Schedule and Location:

Remote: This part-time onsite position will work approximatley 6 hours per week at Austal USA Shipyard facility in Mobile, AL. Telework may be available.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the contractor's primary point of contact and key personnel for all task order activities
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the delivery of administrative and technical support services across all contract line items
  • Manage contractor staff performance, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and contractual timelines
  • Coordinate with the USCG COR and Government personnel on task priorities, schedules, and performance issues
  • Monitor contract performance metrics and prepare required status reports
  • Oversee support functions spanning SharePoint management, documentation, IMS/EVM/EVMS surveillance, TSM deficiency records, integrated logistics support, and business/COR support
  • Manage optional surge support requirements as directed
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements and OASIS+ task order terms
  • Coordinate and manage any contract-related travel (not to exceed $10,000 per year)

 

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience supporting U.S. Government contracts, preferably DoD or DHS
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary support teams
  • Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and government contract administration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to the Austal USA Shipyard facility

 

Desired: 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Prior experience supporting USCG or naval shipbuilding/acquisition programs
  • Experience with SharePoint administration and data management in a government environment
  • Knowledge of integrated logistics support (ILS) processes and configuration management
