Software Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Medior Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this position, you will take ownership of key features, contribute to architectural decisions, and help guide junior developers. You’ll work with Java, AWS, SQL, and NoSQL technologies to build scalable, reliable systems—and you should feel comfortable using AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using Java and modern frameworks.
• Build and optimize scalable cloud solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as Lambda, ECS/EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, and more.
• Work with both SQL and NoSQL data stores, implementing efficient schemas, queries, and performance optimizations.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, and architectural discussions.
• Mentor junior developers and support best practices across the team.
• Implement automated testing and CI/CD practices to ensure high-quality deployments.
• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Amazon Q, etc..)  for coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, QA, and DevOps teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Solid understanding of AWS cloud environments and hands-on experience with multiple AWS services.
• Experience working with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB).
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance analysis skills.
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
• Familiarity with automation, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
• Enthusiasm for using and experimenting with AI development tools to improve engineering efficiency.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience integrating AI/ML-driven components or analytics.
• Contributions to open-source projects or internal tooling.
