Roles & Responsibilities

  • Experience with multiple server and storage hardware (including discrete servers, blade servers, and Storage Area Networks)
  • Experience with Active Directory tools/utilities and VMware management console
  • Understanding of EMC SAN storage hardware and familiarity with network and SAN switching technologies
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong English reading/writing/verbal communication

Requirements:

Job Description

Provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging systems. Respond to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Report design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. May be involved in customer installation and training. Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated innature

Reporting to the Supervisor / Project Manager, Managed Services.

JOB COMPLEXITY

Work on issues of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of relevant factors.

Exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.

SUPERVISION

Normally receive general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects.

SCOPE

Receive assignments in the form of goals with goals and the process by which to meet goals.

INTERACTION

Frequently interact with peers and customers to gain cooperation of others or conduct presentations of technical information/project activities.

Build productive internal/external working relationships.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience with multiple types of server and storage hardware, Discrete servers, Blade servers, Storage Area Networks, Experience with Active Directory tools and utilities and VMWare management console.
  • Understanding of EMC SAN Storage hardware, Familiarity with network and san switching technologies, Excellent trouble shooting skills
  • Good English reading, writing and verbal communication skills

Main Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related areas
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in IT or customer support
