About the Client

The Role

The Management Accountant will be a technically strong accountant who can lead the month-end process, producing accurate management accounts (journals, accruals, prepayments), maintaining strong balance sheet controls, and delivering clear variance commentary.

The role ensures financial controls are applied consistently through variances in balance sheet, ensuring that reconciliations and documentation is duly supportive. Oversees both short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting. Proactively working with head of finance to improve financial processes and performance.

The position provides financial insight to operational teams, development of financial models, supporting the budgeting and reforecasting cycles, and prepares monthly performance reporting for senior leadership.



Requirements


  • Understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.

  • Newly Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or Finalist level).

  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong organisational skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Critical thinker with a high proficiency in math.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Formal qualification or qualified by experience with a minimum 5+ years’ experience working within an accounts department.

Software Experience

  • Microsoft Excel skills would be beneficial – ability to use Pivots, Vlookups, etc.

  • Experience with online accounting packages (Xero & QuickBooks) and familiarity of ecommerce platforms (Shopify).

Reporting

  • The role will report directly to the Finance Manager for TBG Ltd.
