SUMMARY
The Network Engineer will be part of a team of technical specialists responsible for managing network infrastructure and services across a high-performance environment. This role involves providing technical support to customers, ensuring optimal uptime, and maintaining network stability across trading, WAN, and hybrid cloud environments.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the NOC Manager and technical teams to maintain high service levels and optimal uptime.
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to understand technical requirements and resolve issues efficiently.
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve network-related incidents, coordinating with providers and partners when necessary.
Deploy and maintain BGP sessions across trading, WAN, and public network infrastructures.
Monitor, analyze, and optimize network resources including routers, switches, and uplinks.
Support the provisioning and expansion of network infrastructure, including new Points of Presence (PoPs).
Follow strict change control processes, including preparing and presenting changes to a Change Advisory Board (CAB).
Assist in delivering new services such as servers, firewalls, GRE tunnels, and other infrastructure components.
Ensure incidents are managed effectively with clear communication until full resolution.
Continuously stay updated on emerging technologies and contribute to ongoing improvements.

PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with Juniper, Cisco, or Arista networking equipment.
Exposure to low-latency or financial services environments.
Familiarity with hybrid cloud or IaaS environments.
Understanding of GRE tunnels and advanced routing concepts.
