SUMMARY

Reporting to the VP, Strategic Technologies, the Sr. Solutions Architect will take ownership of our Salesforce platform and play a central role in how we build, optimize, and scale technology across the organization. This is a hands-on position that blends platform administration, solution development, business analysis, and stakeholder engagement — all within a collaborative, agile environment.

 

Working closely with department heads, end users, and the Innovation team to turn business needs into well-designed, well-documented solutions. The role focuses on solving real problems, driving adoption, and continuously improving the systems people rely on that support daily operations.

 

This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement with consistent availability expected during core business hours.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Platform Administration & Development

  • Serve as the primary administrator of our Salesforce org, including user management, security, configuration, and data integrity.
  • Build and enhance functionality using declarative tools (flows, validation rules, page layouts, custom objects) and, where appropriate, more advanced platform capabilities.
  • Establish and uphold best practices, governance frameworks, and documentation standards for the platform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Analysis, Reporting & Data

  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards that surface meaningful insights for stakeholders.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Support the internal case queue for issues and requests, maintaining a high standard of responsiveness even in a low-volume environment.

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a business analyst — gathering, documenting, and translating requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Meet regularly with department heads and end users to solicit feedback, understand pain points, and demo new capabilities.
  • Follow an agile approach to configuration and development, iterating based on user input and business priorities.

Change Management & Adoption

  • Serve as a change agent, driving deeper Salesforce adoption across the organization.
  • Document and demo new features as they are delivered, ensuring teams understand and embrace new functionality.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and technology-enabled efficiency.

General

  • Assist internal, external, and regulatory auditors with the collection of requested materials as assigned with their respective engagements.
  • Make effective use of tools and systems to independently manage, organize, and complete tasks. Proactively identify and resolve potential obstacles before they become problems, meet deadlines, develop action plans when off track, support job functions with minimal oversight, and ensure conditions of satisfaction are met.
  • Readily volunteer and accept assignments to special tasks established to address specific issues and opportunities.

 

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

 

  • Participates in developing and executing the strategic plan to meet the bank’s overall competitive position within the financial services industry. 
  • Works independently along all staff levels and with complex and proprietary information.
  • Influence as subject matter expert to help guide the leadership team in the Bank’s technology, data, digital transformation, and innovation strategies.

 

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

  • Smartphone: Needed to enable the MFA (Multi Factor Authentication) for desktop access to MSB systems as well as device management software for access to MSB chat and email applications on mobile device
  • Desk: Desk needed for computer and office equipment

 

EQUIPMENT PROVIDED

  • Laptop computer with docking station
  • Dual-monitors with mounting hardware
  • Keyboard, mouse, webcam, light for video calls
  • Any other agreed upon reasonable computer and/or office equipment that will facilitate completion of job requirements

Physical Demands/Efforts

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, (i.e. files)

  • Consistently operate a computer for extended periods of time
  • Specific vision abilities may be required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment and Hazards

  • Occasional local travel for bank purposes and/or on behalf of the bank (i.e., training conferences).
  • The employee must be able to work schedules that meet the needs of the bank, which may include early morning, evening and/or weekend hours.
  • When in the office it is a general office environment where the noise level is moderate.
