  • Translate client needs into clear internal actions for delivery and solutions teams; coordinate deliverables for verified business outcomes internally, and for the customer
  • Use tools such as Jira and Confluence to maintain visibility into project status, ownership, and progress; communicate completed work, releases, demos, and updates back to clients in a timely and professional way

Role Overview

Virtasant is hiring a Delivery Project Manager to help build and scale the project management function within our Cloud Optimization practice. This is a client-facing delivery role focused on driving value based outcomes to completion, ensuring follow-through on client requests, and driving strong coordination between customers and internal delivery teams.

This person will own the day-to-day project management mechanics that keep complex cloud optimization work on track towards value based initiatives. That includes managing outstanding items across engagements, coordinating internal actions, communicating updates back to clients, and helping delivery teams execute with more speed and consistency.

This is an opportunity to join a growing function at an early stage, work closely with senior leaders, and help shape how project delivery operates as the practice scales.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the day-to-day project management lead across active client engagements within the Cloud Optimization practice

  • Track, organize, and drive follow-through on all outstanding delivery items, client asks, and internal action items

  • Take full accountability in coordinating deliverables for verified business outcomes internally, and for the customer

  • Partner directly with clients to align on requirements, priorities, timelines, and next steps

  • Translate client needs into clear internal actions for delivery and solutions teams

  • Use tools such as Jira and Confluence to maintain visibility into project status, ownership, and progress

  • Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure requests are completed accurately and on time

  • Communicate completed work, releases, demos, and updates back to clients in a timely and professional way

  • Maintain momentum across fast-moving engagements where multiple tasks may be progressing at once

  • Help create more structure, consistency, and accountability within delivery operations

  • Support client offsites and occasional conferences as needed

A strong performer in this role will:

  • Have a "closer" mindset and a track record of moving beyond “item shipping" to “outcome based delivery," where success is measured by the actual value delivered rather than idle PM tasks and reporting needs

  • Keep client and internal workstreams moving without constant oversight

  • Ensure nothing gets dropped between client asks and internal execution

  • Communicate clearly, calmly, and professionally with clients at all times

  • Bring order and accountability to a fast-moving delivery environment

  • Operate with high ownership on a small team

  • Build trust with both customers and internal stakeholders

  • Contribute to standing up a scalable PM function for the practice

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of professional experience in project management, delivery, operations, or consulting

  • Experience in a client-facing consulting environment, ideally at a well-known consultancy or strong boutique firm

  • Prior exposure to cloud project delivery

  • Working understanding of cloud cost optimization/FinOps concepts

  • Demonstrated experience owning the full project coordination lifecycle:

    • Receiving a client need

    • Translating it into internal action

    • Tracking execution

    • Communicating completion back to the client

  • Experience working on smaller teams where individual ownership and autonomy were required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to stay composed and professional in client-facing situations, including under pressure

  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through across multiple concurrent workstreams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in a consulting organization

  • Experience supporting cloud-related delivery programs in AWS or similar environments

  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and structured project tracking methods

  • Exposure to customer reporting, release coordination, or onboarding workflows in a technical services environment
