Job description

LOCATION:

This is a full-time employee role within the Global Digital team that includes benefits and Paid Time Off (PTO) and will be located within the Americas time zone.  


JOB OBJECTIVES:

The Product & Product Design function is focused on:

  • Defining and evolving Generation’s global digital ecosystem to support affiliates and global functions with scalable, high-impact software solutions.
  • Deeply understanding operational processes and user needs across regions to ensure product functionality aligns with real-world workflows.
  • Leading continuous product discovery and research to deeply understand operational processes, user behaviors, and emerging needs across regions.
  • Translating research insights into clear product strategy, validated concepts, and prioritized roadmap decisions.
  • Designing intuitive, effective, and user-centered experiences (UX/UI) for diverse personas across GYE and affiliates.
  • Leading the end-to-end product lifecycle — from validation and development to rollout, adoption, and continuous optimization.
  • Designing and integrating data-informed and AI-enabled capabilities to drive smarter workflows, automation, and measurable operational impact.
  • Driving product adoption through structured rollout, training, and change management initiatives.
  • Ensuring strong alignment and communication between the Digital Team, global stakeholders, affiliates, and external partners.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Global Software Product Owner (Mid), you will be responsible for:


Product Strategy & Direction

  • Contribute hands-on to defining product vision, success criteria, and long-term roadmap aligned with Generation’s digital ecosystem strategy.
  • Shape product direction in close partnership with Engineering and Design Leads, ensuring scalable and future-ready solutions.
  • Develop product strategy documents including business cases, high-level use cases, and technical requirements.
  • Evaluate commercial solutions that may complement or replace custom-built systems.


Discovery & Validation

  • Lead structured product discovery, including research, prototyping, and validation with users and technical teams.
  • Translate operational needs and user insights into prioritized, outcome-driven roadmaps.
  • Integrate data-informed and AI-enabled capabilities to enhance workflows, automation, and decision-making.

 

Delivery & Execution

  • Own backlog management, writing high-quality Agile user stories and ensuring clear acceptance criteria.
  • Develop project scopes, plans, and documentation, ensuring stakeholder alignment and technical feasibility.
  • Drive execution across the full product lifecycle, from concept through launch.

 

Adoption & Rollout

  • Partner closely with Operations to plan and execute product rollouts, testing, and training initiatives.
  • Support adoption across affiliates, ensuring smooth implementation and user enablement.

 

Data, Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor and analyze product usage and behavioral data (Heap, Mixpanel, Clarity) to generate actionable insights.
  • Define and track KPIs, build dashboards, and report performance to stakeholders.
  • Identify user friction, adoption gaps, and optimization opportunities.
  • Ensure proper tracking implementation and data integrity in collaboration with Engineering.

 

Quality & Governance

  • Oversee quality assurance standards and release readiness.
  • Monitor post-release performance and drive continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product vision, trade-offs, and priorities to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High analytical capability, with experience using product analytics tools (e.g., Heap, Mixpanel, Clarity) to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Structured and strategic thinking, with strong attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Hands-on mindset — comfortable moving between strategy, execution, QA, rollout, and training.
  • Ability to align frequently with leadership, proactively seeking feedback and validating direction to ensure strategic coherence.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Strong project management discipline, including planning, documentation, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Professional working proficiency in Spanish and English, including the ability to communicate complex product concepts in both languages.
