Roles & Responsibilities

  • Partner with the leave administrator to manage end-to-end LOA processes (FMLA, state leaves, ADA accommodations) and ensure compliance and a seamless employee experience.
  • Support data analysis of program usage and costs, and assist in preparing materials for annual renewals and open enrollment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, Finance, and Legal to ensure compliance and accurate reporting for all benefit-related activities.

About the Role:

As a Benefits Analyst, you will support the administration and delivery of our health, wellness, and retirement programs. You are a fully qualified professional with a solid understanding of benefits principles. You will work independently on routine assignments and apply first principles thinking to resolve varied issues, ensuring our employees have a seamless experience with their total rewards.

You are expected to handle moderately varied problems and contribute to the analysis of our programs to ensure they remain competitive as we expand our treatment specialties and global footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Administration: Independently manage the day-to-day administration of benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k), ensuring data integrity across all systems.

  • Leave of Absence Administration: Partner with our leave administrator, Unum, to manage end-to-end LOA processes, including FMLA, state leaves, ADA accommodations, and company leave programs; ensure compliance, accurate tracking, and a seamless employee experience.

  • Drive Strong Performance: Support a culture of performance by ensuring that benefits information is clear and accessible, helping employees understand the full value of their total rewards.

  • Sustainable Team Support: Assist in the execution of workforce priorities by providing data and insights that help the People team plan for future team size and structure.

  • Operational Excellence: Resolve routine benefit issues for employees with empathy and urgency, elevating the consumer experience for our own team members.

  • Data & Analysis: Support the Benefits Manager in analyzing program usage and costs; contribute to the preparation of materials for annual renewals and open enrollment.

  • Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally with Payroll, Finance, and Legal to ensure compliance and accurate reporting for all benefit-related activities.

  • Vendor Coordination: Act as a point of contact for external benefit vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery and resolve administrative discrepancies.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in HR or Benefits administration, including hands-on experience managing leave of absence programs.

  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of benefits principles and practices; familiarity with LOA regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and state leave laws, as well as COBRA, ERISA, and HIPAA.

  • Problem Solving: Ability to solve moderately varied problems and apply learned techniques to resolve issues independently.

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and experience working within an HRIS (e.g., Paylocity, Workday).

  • Communication: Ability to explain complex benefit information clearly and concisely to employees at all levels.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
