Drafter

Job Summary:

• Use AutoCAD to create pipeline alignment sheets and plats, exhibits and permit drawings used to construct pipeline projects
• Prepare design drawings with plan, section and detail format or plan and profile as designated
• Prepare sketches of details not included on existing drawings to accurately reflect as-installed field conditions
• Prepare drawings, forms, maps, and lists based on approved details provided by designers and engineers

Requirements:

• 2 - 5 years drafting experience or education equivalent
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and legal descriptions drafting
• Oil and gas industry experience required
• Reading and understanding maps, plat maps, as-builts, construction drawings and gas service records for existing condition interpolation
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with Route Mapper and/or Plat Mapper preferred

Qualifications:

• Applicants will have a basic understanding of survey procedures and data collection and a level of knowledge to work independently.
• Ability to work on multiple projects using raw field data and computer data.
• Ability to apply land surveying methodologies, formulas, principles, and techniques to solve surveying related problems.
• Ability to review their own work for accuracy and completeness and the initiative to recommend solutions or improvements as appropriate.
• Customer service and team oriented.
• Should demonstrate they are a self-starter, organized, attentive to detail, and able to work under stress to meet deadlines.
