CAD TECHNICIAN I – (SOLAR & BESS PROJECTS)
Location: India | Remote
Schedule: Full-Time | Working Hours: 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST

Are you looking to start your career in CAD design while contributing to the future of renewable energy? EVS is seeking a remote CAD Technician I based in India to support our U.S. based engineering and drafting teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on real utility-scale solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.

As a CAD Technician I, you'll support drawing production, apply redlines and markup edits, and assist in maintaining organized drawing sets for large-scale renewable energy projects. You'll work evening hours (6:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST) to align with U.S. project schedules and report directly to a U.S.-based manager. If you're detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about CAD and clean energy, this is the ideal opportunity to grow your skills and career in a global team environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Support project drawing production by applying redlines and markup edits
• Perform basic drafting tasks such as labeling, linework edits, annotations, and layout formatting
• Learn and apply EVS CAD standards including title blocks, layers, and scaling
• Assist in maintaining organized drawing files and project folders
• Follow file naming conventions, version control, and XREF protocols
• Assist with printing, plotting, and exporting drawing sets for review or delivery
• Build CAD proficiency through on-the-job training, mentorship, and team reviews
• Gain exposure to drafting tools like AutoCAD, PVCase, and Civil 3D

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Basic understanding of AutoCAD or similar drafting software
• Familiarity with 2D drawing principles, layers, annotations, and scaling
• Willingness to learn new tools, workflows, and technical standards
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawing edits
• Eagerness to learn, follow direction, and work in a collaborative environment
• Good communication skills and organizational habits
