Lead Consultant – Data Engineering

Right now, we are looking for a Lead Consultant – Data Engineering to join our crew. Is that you?

Our Dream Hire

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering / analytics with strong ownership of data architecture.

• Familiarity with Metabase (or strong willingness to quickly deep dive into it).

• Deep expertise in data modeling (this is at the core of the role), including scalable and analytics-ready structures.

• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (query optimization, views, performance tuning) and exposure to TimeScaleDB.

• Experience working with real-time or streaming data and designing systems that scale with growing data volumes.

• Exposure to HL7 FHIR and interest in openEHR or healthcare data standards is a plus.

• A technically broad, hands-on mindset, with the ability to independently evaluate systems and drive improvements.

• Someone who is proactive, independent, and comfortable leading from the front, acting as a key driver for analytics initiatives.

• Demonstrated background in a consulting environment is essential.

• Advanced technical expertise combined with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  

What You’ll Do

• Own and evolve the data model and overall analytics architecture.

• Evaluate the current setup, identify gaps, and proactively drive structural improvements.

• Design and optimize data solutions using PostgreSQL and TimeScaleDB for performance and scalability.

• Enable real-time and scalable analytics use cases, especially for complex and growing datasets.

• Work with FHIR-based data models and support future standardization efforts (e.g., openEHR).

• Collaborate with DevOps on deployable, version-controlled analytics solutions.

• Develop and optimize Metabase dashboards, write efficient SQL queries, and ensure accurate data visualization by integrating with underlying data sources.
