Primary Purpose
Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations and communication of global benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, spending accounts, retirement, and wellness.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating employee leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with Emmes policies and relevant laws such as FMLA. This includes communication with employees and managers, UNUM, notifying departments for initial leaves and returns, tracking FMLA hours, maintaining Leave Tracker for internal stakeholders and coordinating STD and supplemental pay with payroll.
- Respond to all employee and UNUM emails through leave email box.
- Partner with payroll to update Costpoint timesheets for employees on leave in the US and India, ensuring accuracy and prompt processing.
- Process U.S. 401k payroll changes, audit payroll previews to ensure changes are made correctly, process contributions through Empower, and notify Finance of payroll amounts to be deducted from accounts.
- Send benefit communications to new hires and terminations for LATAM, Canada and U.S. 401k. Processing required documents once received back from employees with correct vendors.
- Process Canada RRSP contributions each payroll through Sun Life.
- Assist U.S. Benefit Teams with wellness/EAP communications to international countries as well as maintain SharePoint Pages.
- Perform data validation through multiple audits to ensure accuracy between ADP and vendor systems, correcting when discrepancies arise.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, as well as ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
- Collaborates with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Responds to internal and external customer inquiries and escalates as appropriate.
- Maintain changes to the Global Holiday Calendar.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related field.
- At least 2 year of administering U.S. Leaves and Retirement and Canadian employee benefits.
- Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian government regulations as they apply to benefit & retirement programs, company policies, and operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required for interfacing with all levels of management.
- Strong Excel and SharePoint abilities
