Roles & Responsibilities

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a similar Medical Representative/field role within healthcare or wellness industries.
  • University degree in Medical or Pharmacy.
  • Strong communication, customer focus, time management, and persuasive/sales-oriented abilities.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and ability to work independently in a field-based role.

Requirements:

  • Territory management: build and maintain a detailed customer database, identify target customers, prioritize territories, maintain key account relationships, monitor market trends and competitor activity, and report market intelligence to supervisor/marketing team.
  • Planning and organizing: develop weekly/monthly work plans using the customer database, plan daily detailing calls, allocate resources, and coordinate direct-to-consumer marketing activities.
  • Business development: identify and develop new opportunities, ensure execution of sales/marketing programs in the territory, track progress and provide feedback, conduct daily sales calls, address product complaints, and coordinate activities across hospitals, clinics, and other customer segments.
  • Compliance and continuous learning: update product knowledge and healthcare science background; maintain accurate department reports; ensure compliance with Company Code of Conduct and local laws; perform special tasks as assigned by management.

In Vietnam, Abbott’s Established Pharmaceuticals Division has committed to enhance the care of patients. Our products cover several therapeutic areas, including gastroenterology, women health, cardiology, primary care, specialty and food supplement. Our key prescription products include Lipanthyl, Klacid, Duphaston, Drosperin and BetaSerc. Our key over-the-counter products are Duphalac, CG210, Estraceptin, Brufen, Fatig, Surbex. We also have the Influvac vaccine.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES  

1. Territory Management

  • Develop customer database with detailed records of hospital/ health center/ target organization/ health care professionals, etc.

  • Evaluate, classify, and identify precise target customers. Prioritize potential territories.

  • Establish & maintain close relationship with key accounts through ensuring company services meet their requirements.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity in assigned territory.

  • Collect and report Market intelligence to Supervisor & Marketing team.

2. Planning and organizing:

  • Utilize customer database for preparing weekly & monthly working plan, daily detailing calls, resource allocation plan, or direct-to-consumer marketing activities.

3. Business development

  • Develop new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.

  • Ensure good execution of all Sales & Marketing programs in assigned territory. Strictly track and provide feedback on the programs to upper levels.

  • Implement effective daily sales calls and maintain records. Address product complaints in a timely manner.

  • Harmonize diversified activities (product presentation, consultation…) in various relating fields: hospital, health center, kindergarten, food shop, supermarket, and other consumer organization i.e. patient society, elderly society, mother society.

4. Others

  • Well update of product knowledge, as well as health care scientific backgrounds.

  • Manage Company, department reports in a timely and correct manner.

  • Ensure activities to comply with Company Business Code of Conduct and all local applicable laws within scope of function responsibility.

  • Carry special work as assigned by Management.

MINIMUM BACKGROUND/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Have at least 1 – 3 years’ experience in the same position

  • Working experience in healthcare/wellness industry

  • Communication

  • Customer focus

  • Time management

  • Persuasiveness/ Sales-oriented ability

  • Continuous improvement behavior

  • University degree of Medical/Pharmacy qualification
