About the role:

Acting as the central planning authority, you will work closely with stakeholders to translate evolving inputs into structured, achievable plans that support effective governance and confident decision‑making.

  • Identify and manage milestones, dependencies, risks, and assumptions
  • Act as the central focal point for all programme planning activity
  • Keep plans accurate and up to date as delivery progresses and inputs evolve
  • Support programme governance and reporting with clear planning artefacts
  • Collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to ensure plans are understood, owned, and achievable

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a PMO, Project or Programme Planning role.
  • Experience working in complex, multi‑workstream programmes.
  • Ability to turn discovery outputs into clear, structured delivery plans.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High attention to detail with a practical, delivery‑focused mindset.
  • Experience in application or technology‑led programmes is desirable.

This full-time, long-term contract opportunity will attract a highly competitive rate of pay coupled with the opportunity to work in a great working environment within an Energy Sector setting. The role will be based on a hybrid engagement model and whilst some remote working will be possible, candidates should be comfortable working on-site in central Aberdeen 2-3 days per week.
