Senior Accountant – Healthcare Financial Reporting


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This pivotal role supports our monthly close processes and internal financial reporting, with a specialized focus on physician compensation modeling, financial analysis, and operational reporting. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with Accounting, Payroll, and Operations teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data, especially during high-volume close periods. Key Responsibilities:

- Support the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reports

- Develop and maintain physician compensation models and related financial analyses

- Prepare detailed operational and financial reports for internal stakeholders

- Collaborate with Accounting, Payroll, and Operations teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity

- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements

- Assist in the development of financial forecasts and budgets

- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

- Manage multiple priorities effectively during peak reporting periods


Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within healthcare

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly

- Experience with healthcare financial systems and complex compensation structures is preferred

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
