Field Service Engineer for Magnetic Resonance

Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to support our Magnetic Resonance (MR) systems. You will work in customer environments, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and support of our advanced and innovative MR and related systems. In this role, you will collaborate closely with highly skilled colleagues across Nordic teams, including Remote Resolution, Technical Support Specialists, and the Customer Center.

Your role:

  • Executing service activities such as regular preventative maintenance, emergency service, faultfinding, upgrades, installations according to the relevant Philips’ quality standard policies.

  • Completeness and accuracy of service records with particular attention to test & inspection results

  • Timely and accurate submission of service data, job sheets, field problem reports and other relevant administrative tasks as assigned

  • Serving as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters.

  • Reporting customer feedback and follow-up relevant assigned quality & regulatory training in a timely manner.

  • Using appropriate measurement equipment (electronic and analogue) in a calibration-controlled cycle

  • Keeping an open and attentive eye out for business opportunities that will contribute to customer satisfaction and positive margin contribution.

You’re the right fit if you:

  • Have a relevant educational background in medical or electrical engineering (or a similar field) and 3–5 years of hands-on field service experience, ideally within a hospital environment.

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders, and enjoy being a reliable point of contact.

  • Work independently with a service-oriented mindset, applying a logical and methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.

  • Bring a structured, well-organized way of working, combined with high personal integrity, self-discipline, and solid IT skills.

  • Are fluent in English and Swedish, hold a valid Category B driving license, and are willing to travel as part of the role.
